Acne: There's a reason it's called "common acne" - nearly everyone suffers from outbreaks of pimples at some point in life. Although acne remains largely a curse of adolescence, about 20% of all cases occur in adults. Acne commonly starts during puberty and tends to be worse in people with oily skin. The cause of acne is not fully understood. While poor hygiene, poor diet, and stress can aggravate acne, they clearly do not cause it. Common acne in teenagers starts with an increase in hormone production. Excess sebum and keratin clogs the openings to hair follicles -- especially those on the face, neck, chest, and back. Bacteria grow in these clogged follicles. This is why it is so important to cleanse the face gently, yet thoroughly with Delicate Face Cleanser and then follow with Revitalizing Toner.
Age Spots: Age or liver spots are small flat pigmented spots, similar to freckles, that are most often seen on sun exposed skin sometime after the age of 40. The best prevention is to use sun screen. The of products may help in reducing age spots. Even stubborn skin discoloration may be improved with the consistent use of the Whitening Line products.
Aging: The most widespread disorder in America today is premature old age. Many aging theories have been proposed over the years. The most ancient and incorrect being the idea that blood pressure and cholesterol rise with age, that bone density and strength decline with age, that middle-age is inevitable, and that sexuality disappears altogether. This does not have to be true. You can do something to break the cycle. The average aging American has had inadequate nutrition and generally lived a sedentary and overweight life. The simple answer to this complex issue is to eat right, exercise, drink lots of pure water (the Aquafilter will provide the best water for you), and supplement your diet with nutritionals that will give a mature person the nutrients needed to help them feel younger. VitaZone, Germanium Plus, and Body Guard are excellent for this. Use products to enhance your outer beauty, such as the Skin Care Line, especially Anti-Aging Serum and DNA Repair Creme. Think young and act young, and you will feel young again.
Back care: Back injuries can be caused by overexertion, poor posture, jarring from motor vehicles, slips and falls, stress, excessive body weight, and lack of exercise. The leading cause of back injuries is improper lifting techniques.
Improve your back spring: stay active.
Try to exercise three to five days per week, with aerobic activities such as brisk walking, swimming, cycling, and jogging.
Keep your abdominal and lower back muscles strong.
Warm up with simple stretches before you do lifting or twisting movements.
Take off that extra weight, especially around your middle.
Relax. Learn and practice relaxation techniques to help prevent or reduce stress and tension.
Use Miracle Rub on sore back muscles.
Blood pressure: Blood pressure is the amount of force blood exerts against artery walls as it flows through them. The American Heart Association defines acceptable blood pressure as below 130/85 mmHg; blood pressure of 120/80 mmHg is considered optimal. Risk factors for high blood pressure include previous family history; gender (it affects more males than females); race (it affects African-Americans more than any other ethnic group); being overweight; high alcohol consumption; a sedentary lifestyle; chronic depression or anxiety; and excessive sodium (salt) consumption. Prevention is the key.
Reduce your risk of developing hypertension with the following self-care practices:
Do daily physical activity.
Avoid eating prepared foods that are high in sodium. Throw away the salt shaker.
Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy foods and with reduced saturated and total fat. Be sure your nutrition is adequate by supplementing with VitaZone. Noni Supreme, Germanium Plus, and Body Guard are also excellent for good heart health. If you smoke, quit. Drink alcohol in moderation only.
Body Metabolism: Metabolism is the amount of energy (calories) your body burns to maintain itself. Whether you are eating, drinking, sleeping, cleaning etc. The body is constantly burning calories to keep you going. Metabolism is affected by your body composition. Body composition is the amount of muscle you have versus the amount of fat. Muscle uses more calories to maintain itself than fat. People who are more muscular (and have a lower percentage of body fat) are said to have a higher metabolism than others that are less muscular. Increasing activity level can also increase body metabolism. Certain supplements such as Metaplex and Cyberplex may increase metabolism rate.
Burning Fat: You can do things to increase fat breakdown. Breakdown and ProArgi9 are a few supplements that can assist this process. HGH (human growth hormone), and cortisol modify the adipose cells so that more fat is broken down for the same amount of stimulation, i.e. your metabolism works more efficiently. HGH is found in ProArgi9.
Calories: A calorie is a measure of energy expenditure. A pound of fat stores 3500 calories (kcal). To lose a pound of fat a week a person must eat approximately 500 fewer calories (kcal) per day than he/she expends. The range of daily calorie burning is from 1600 for a sedentary woman or older people to 2800 for active men, very active women and teenage boys.
Cancer Prevention: There is no guarantee that you can prevent cancer, but there are steps you can take to reduce your risk. Studies are showing that cancer risk is reduced when you do the following things:
Stop smoking.
Be more physically active. This is not only good for your heart, but is has been shown the oxidizing our cells while exercising can reduce the risk of disease. Germanium Plus and Body Guard also assists in sending oxygen to our body's cells. Eat less red meat and more whole foods.
Take a multivitamin with folate or folic acid every day. VitaZone gives you 100% of your daily Folic Acid requirement. Reduce alcohol intake.
Reduce exposure to sun. DNA Repair Creme can help repair sun damage to your skin, and can possibly reduce your risk of skin cancer.
Colds: We are all frequently exposed to the cold virus. The following tips may help you avoid or minimize your next cold.
Wash your hands often.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. If you blow your nose, wash your hands before touching your mouth or eyes. If you cough, wash your hands before touching your eyes or nose. If you need to rub your eyes (itchy eyes) try to wash your hands first.
Take nutritional supplements. It is always important to take vitamins, but especially when you are sick. If you are taking VitaZone remember to also take Vitamin C as it helps strengthen your immune system. Your body will flush out the extra Vitamin C it doesn't need, so try taking 1,000 units every hour. Germanium Plus and Noni Supreme taken at the first sign of a cold, can strengthen your immune system to destroy the cold virus. Body Guard taken on a regular basis can help prevent colds before they start. Limit contact with people who are sick.
Eat healthy, energizing food. Core Greens will give you a great start. Your body always needs fuel but when you're sick a lot of your body's energy is devoted to your immune system. Drink Water! Your body needs 8 glasses a day. When you are sick this is minimum that you should drink, preferably more. We need water to function efficiently. An efficient body can fight off disease better.
Collagen: The fibrous protein making up bone, cartilage, tendon, and other connective tissue. Gen III stimulates fibroblasts in the dermis to increase production of collagen and elastin, the elastic structural scaffolding of the skin, creating a more youthful, elastic feel. Gen III also acts to increase cell renewal in the epidermis, plumping the upper layers of the skin, and smoothing out wrinkles. Gen III is proven to rebuild basic collagen and elastin and assist the body in fighting the aging process. Gen III is found in Anti-Aging Serum, Advanced Face Cream and Aloe Magic.
Colon Health: The #2 Killer in America is Colon Cancer. Nearly every disease can be traced to a toxic colon. Food elimination should only take 18-24 hours yet the average person takes 3-4 days. You can store between 10 - 70 pounds of waste in the colon because of toxic buildup. This is due in large part to the high amount of processed foods we eat.
Detox Plus is an excellent product to help cleanse your colon. It soothes, cleanses and detoxifies your body. Detox Plus is extremely effective when used during a short fast. It is extremely important while using Detox Plus to drink sufficient water. This will assist your body to eliminate as much waste as possible.
Cravings: When you just have to have a certain kind of food, your body may be telling you more than just "feed me." Cravings are often a clue that you have a specific health or nutritional need. Some people even believe that you crave foods that you are allergic to. If you crave:
Salty foods: Your body's adrenal system may be off as a result of stress, or you may have high blood pressure. Better in the long run to try and eliminate extra salt from your diet altogether (you can get plenty from fresh vegetables).
Sweets: If you're dying for chocolate, cola or ice cream, you want the quick burst of energy that caffeine and sugar can give you. Chocolate, in particular, releases a chemical in the brain that's similar to the one released during sex. It's better to eat foods high in B-vitamins, like liver, or whole grain breads and cereals. They keep your blood sugar stable.
Cheese: You may need more calcium or phosphorous. It's easier (and lower in fat and calories) to get it from raw vegetables.
Bananas: Bananas provide potassium, a mineral you lose easily when you're dehydrated or taking diuretics. Feel free to eat bananas when you crave them. To stave off cravings, be sure you are eating a balanced diet. Supplement with VitaPak, and Calcium Plus. Also, if you are craving food simply to put something in your mouth, reach for a glass of water instead.
Dandruff: is an itchy, annoying and persistent skin disorder of the scalp. Dandruff can cause either an overly dry scalp with itchy white flakes that may be waxy or greasy or dandruff can manifest as an oily greasy scalp with scales. A person's entire body surface continuously sheds dead skin cells. The skin itself sheds every twenty-four days. Dandruff, the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp at an excessive rate, is the result of the normal growing process of the skin cells of the scalp.
In truth, very few people have clinical dandruff and chances are that if you believe that you do, you probably don't. Clinical dandruff comes in many degrees and those who actually have it know it, and they are under medical supervision and receive prescription shampoos. More often than not what people perceive as dandruff, is nothing more than dry scalp from nervousness or not using a good shampoo and conditioner. Using the Synergy Line of Hair Care products will greatly reduce the appearance of dandruff.
Deep Breathing: When you're under stress, your muscles tense, and your breathing becomes shallow and rapid. One of the simplest, and best ways to reduce stress is to breathe deeply and slowly. It sounds simple, and it is. Most of us, however, do not breathe deeply under normal circumstances, so it may help to review the mechanics of deep breathing and how it helps us to relax.
Deep breathing is not always natural to adults. Watch the way a baby breathes, the area beneath the chest goes in and out. Most adults breathe from the chest. This is shallower breathing, so less oxygen is taken in with each breath. As a result the blood is forced to move through the system quickly so that enough oxygen gets to the brain and organs. Higher blood pressure results.
By helping you let go of tension, deep breathing can relieve headaches, backaches, stomach aches, and sleeplessness. It releases the body's own painkillers, endorphins, into the system. It allows blood pressure to return to normal, which is good for your heart. Deep breathing can also allow held-in emotions to come to the surface, so your emotional health benefits from deep breathing, too. Use deep breathing any time, anywhere. It's one of the best techniques for relieving stress. In addition to the physical act of deep breathing, you can assist the oxygenation of your cells through Germanium Plus and Noni Supreme.
Depression: Although depression is often thought of a being an extreme state of sadness, there is a vast difference between clinical depression and sadness. Sadness is a part of being human, a natural reaction to painful circumstances. All of us will experience sadness at some point in our lives. Depression, however, is a physical illness with many more symptoms than an unhappy mood. The person with clinical depression finds that there is not always a logical reason for his dark feelings. Sadness is a temporary feeling that passes as a person comes to term with his troubles. Depression can linger for weeks, months or even years. The sad person feels bad, but continues to cope with living. A person with clinical depression may feel overwhelmed and hopeless.
If you are suffering from depression and sadness that doesn't seem to go away, consult your doctor. However, there are several vitamin and mineral deficiencies that can cause symptoms of depression. If you happen to have one of these deficiencies then a supplement may indeed help you. It certainly well worth a try, however, to take a good quality supplement before trying prescription medications. Some supplements that might assist in mood elevation and mood balance are Germanium Plus and Body Guard.
Dermis: The sensitive connective tissue layer of the skin located below the epidermis.
Diaper Rash: Cleanse area with Delicate Face Cleanser or Total Body Wash. Pat dry with a soft cloth. Liberally apply Aloe Magic. Diaper rash can also be caused by wet diapers, baby's food intake or allergies. If baby is breast-fed, mother's diet can also cause diaper rash. Consult your pediatrician.
Digestive Disorders: Everyone has an upset stomach from time to time. Perhaps eating too many rich foods or eating too late at night causes our stomach to rebel. However, there are other more serious and long-lasting digestive disorders. If you experience symptoms for longer than a few days, you should probably see your physician. For temporary relief of normal digestive complaints, you might try the following:
Reduce high fat consumption late at night. Don't eat or drink three hours before you go to bed if you suffer from heartburn.
Careful refrigeration and food storage will keep germs to a minimum.
Reduce the size of your meals. Smaller meals digest better than large feasts.
Cut down or stop caffeine or tobacco.
For irregular bowel movements, taking Detox Plus will clear out wastes in your colon that may be contributing to this problem. Reduce stress in your life. Emotional problems often appear as digestive problems.
Chew your food longer. It sounds like a simple solution, but chewing gives the stomach a head start on digesting the food we eat.
Dry skin: Use the basic 5 steps to the Synergy Skin Care Line. Dry skin needs exfoliation to reveal younger skin, and the benefit of using Revitalizing Toner is that it also moisturizes. Advanced Face Cream can be applied abundantly to areas of extreme dryness. DNA Repair Creme can also be applied to patches of dry skin for deeper penetration. Aloe Magic is extremely soothing and moisturizing and can be applied to dry skin several times a day.
Eczema and Psoriasis: Keeping dry patches of eczema and psoriasis cleansed and moisturized is the great challenge. Wash areas with Total Body Wash, or if highly sensitive, use Delicate Face Cleanser. Advanced Face Cream is a wonderful moisturizer, and applied liberally may provide temporary relief. DNA Repair Creme applied at night to dry patches, and then covered with a soft cloth will dramatically increase moisture. Aloe Magic can provide a cool, soothing sensation, and can provide temporary relief of painful itching. Body Guard is a good supplement to add for skin relief.
Elastin: A protein similar to collagen that gives skin a youthful, firm appearance. (see Collagen)
Exfoliate: To remove a layer of skin in flakes or scales. Skin exfoliation removes the dead skin cells. Revitalizing Toner is a gentle exfoliant that also moisturizes your skin.
Fat Complexing: Complexing is a bio-chemical action that works with the body's natural digestive system pH to transform fats and oils into molecules that cannot be absorbed into the blood stream. Breakdown uses natural ingredients to complex fats, up to 2 hours after eating.
Fatigue: There are many causes of fatigue. Some get fatigued because of arthritis or another chronic conditions, depression, anemia, thyroid problems, nutritional problems, lack of adequate sleep, or lack of good physical condition. Treating these conditions often leads to a reduction or elimination of fatigue. Taking VitaZone, Germanium Plus, Body Guard, and ProArgi9 may assist the person over 35 to fight nutritional and hormonal causes of fatigue. Noni Supreme, Synemax and Mistica have plant nutrition and trace minerals that will enhance your energy-generating capacity. It is a good idea to include exercise into your daily routine. Aerobic movement and weight lifting will increase your energy level, combat osteoporosis, and help you feel better physically and mentally.
Gen III: Gen III is not a single ingredient but a complex of ingredients. It takes the form of a liposome (an artificial sack used to deliver product inside the body). However, Gen III is a very unique liposome, which has a special shape, which enables proper delivery to specific cells in the skin. Synergy's Gen III products include Aloe Magic, Advanced Face Cream and Anti-Aging Serum.
Gen IV: Uses enzymes and biotechnology to enhance skin's recovery capabilities, to help protect it from UV-induced skin cancer, and to delay the signs of aging. DNA Repair Creme is part of the next generation (GEN IV) of technology to use enzymes and biotechnology to enhance your skin's recovery capabilities and to delay the signs of aging.
Hair Care: A few things that you can do to ensure that your hair follicles remain healthy and your hair is undamaged are:
Take a daily vitamin supplement such as VitaZone. Your hair likes zinc and biotin. Do not over brush your hair. With every stroke you damage your hair more. Brush only as much as you need to style the hair, then stop.
Buy a good quality brush or comb without sharp plastic or metal ridges. This is one of the common factors leading to split ends, as is over brushing.
Don't be penny foolish. Buy good quality hair care products. The chemicals used in many if not most of the over the counter shampoos and conditioners, contain very harsh ingredients which can actually dry your hair out and cause breakage and split ends. The Synergy Hair Care Line is gentle to your hair, and has reparative conditioners to give your hair moisture and elasticity. Don't constrict your hair with tight bands, hats, braids and elastics. This can break your hair. Buy the biggest hair band you can and wrap it as loosely as possible to retain the hair style.
How do I grow my hair faster? Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month on the average. There is no truth to the rumor that trimming your hair makes it grow faster. The best way to grow your hair out is to keep it conditioned, reduce damage and let it grow! Taking a good multi vitamin, such as VitaZone, will give your hair the nutrients it needs to grow out as healthy as possible. What causes hair damage? Chemicals: Bleach, permanent and semi-permanent colors, perms and straighteners all work by swelling the cuticle to get underneath it. This leaves the scales roughed up and prone to chipping or coming off altogether. Bleaching, perming and straightening also break down some of the protein bonds in the hair, weakening its structure. Physical wear: Friction is responsible for more damage than most people realize. A rough brush or comb (or even a good brush or comb used too much), salt left on the hair after swimming or working out and even pillowcases cause friction. Other physical damage can result from abrasion from rubber bands, barrettes and other accessories. Just-washed hair is especially susceptible to mechanical damage -- when wet, hair loses its ability to stretch and bounce back. Heat: Too-hot blow dryers, hot rollers, and curling and straightening implements all can crack cuticles and evaporate water in hair. However, using good quality shampoos, such as 5 in 1, Gentle Cleansing or Deep Cleansing Shampoos along with adequate conditioning with Repairative Conditioner can insulate hair against low and medium heat.
Hair Composition: A hair shaft is composed of three concentric layers: the innermost layer is the medulla, which is not affected by hair care products or processes (and isn't even always present). The middle layer is the cortex (the pigment is located here), which can be modified somewhat by dyeing, bleaching, perming and straightening; and the outer layer is the cuticle, which comes into play on a daily basis.
Hair Type: If you're of European descent, your hair will fall into one of three broad categories: fine and thin, medium or coarse and thick. Asian hair is the thickest of all, and African Americans have a completely different hair type. While a Caucasian hair is oval and an Asian hair rounder, an African hair alternates thick and thin. This is what makes it curly, but it's also what makes it fragile and prone to breakage (at the thin points). African hair can be fine, medium or coarse, but most falls into the third category. In addition, some hair is more porous and will quickly soak up whatever you put on it, as well as the humidity in the air. If your hair gets frizzy on muggy days and flat on very dry ones, it's probably porous. Coarse hair is often porous, as is any hair that has been permed, straightened, permanently colored or otherwise damaged. Regardless of your hair type, it is important to take care of your hair. The most important step is to select the right shampoo and conditioner for you. Synergy's Hair Care products provide the best in shampoos and conditioners for any hair type.
Healthy Lifestyle: Lifestyle Changes to help keep you young and healthy:
Get Regular Exercise: Exercise regularly to increase the amount of oxygen available to the tissues. Swimming and brisk walking are especially good low-impact exercises. Weight lifting assists in building lean muscle mass, which has been found to ower the risk of osteoporosis and contributes to an efficient body metabolism.
When astronauts go into space one of the major concerns is muscle atrophy-where muscle strength declines and muscle mass is lost-because they do not have the consistent resistant pull of gravity that causes their body to maintain structural strength. Lack of mobility and muscle atrophy is not a natural part of aging; it is the result of inactivity. The old adage "Move it or lose it" has a lot of truth to it.
Relax: Learn to relax, but keep active in hobbies and enjoyable experiences. Make each day an event to live for. Reduce stress in your life through exercise, prayer and meditation and deep breathing. Germanium Plus can help counteract the effects of stress in your life. Do Deep Breathing: Do deep breathing exercises to increase the blood's oxygenation and circulation. This will also help you reduce the effects of stress.
Be Well Rested: Get plenty of sleep.
Protect Your Skin: To protect your skin from wrinkles and damage avoid too much exposure to the sun, use a sunscreen, and avoid using harsh soaps. Use DNA Repair Creme to counteract the effects of too much UV exposure. Lose Those Excess Pounds: If you are overweight, lose the excess pounds. Being overweight can cause excess free radical damage and aging. Using the Synergy line of Weight Management products will assist you in your weight-loss program. Also, Young Again helps replace needed hormones in your body to help trigger weight loss mechanisms.
HGH: Human growth hormone (HGH) is produced in the pituitary gland of humans, and the hormone is secreted throughout a person's lifetime. It promotes growth in children and plays an important role in adult metabolism.
As the body begins to age, there is a marked decline in various hormones in the body, especially in Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Researchers believe that this decline in hormones may trigger the aging process. Signs of aging include loss of endurance, decline in immune system functions, loss of muscle mass, increased body fat, memory loss, and more. In most adults this decline in hormones generally begins between the ages of 25 and 30. Young Again features an exclusive blend of powerful Human Growth Hormone Releasers, DHEA, Pregnenalone and natural Progesterone.
Immune System: Inside your body there is an amazing protection mechanism called the immune system. It is designed to defend you against millions of bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites that would try to invade your body. None of these things are able to get in when your immune system is working, but the moment your immune system is weakened, these bad guys can get in. To keep your immune system working well take Germanium Plus for 2 weeks, and then cycle off for one or two weeks. Mistica and VitaZone offer strong nutritional support to your immune system. Germanium Plus,Body Guard, rich in Vitamins A and D and in essential Omega-3 fatty acids that help boost the immune system. Germanium Plus, Body Guard can be taken as a daily supplement.
Muscle Building: Building lean muscle mass will not only give you the look you want, it is now believed that the more lean muscle you have, the more calories you burn. Weight lifting is good for everyone. It is recommended you check with a trainer to determine the weight lifting program that is right for you. To help build muscles and keep you in shape, use the ProArgi9 and Sports Line of nutritional products will help you build muscle, repair quickly from injury, and give you added energy.
Nutrition: Eat a variety of foods to get the energy, protein, vitamins, minerals, and fiber you need for good health. Supplement with VitaZone for balanced support. Balance the food you eat with physical activity - maintain or improve your weight to reduce you chances of having high blood pressure, heart disease, a stroke, certain cancers, and the most common kind of diabetes. Supplementing with the Sports Line will increase your body's energy and effectiveness. Choose a diet with plenty of grain products, vegetables, and fruits which provide needed vitamins, minerals, fiber, and complex carbohydrates, and can help you lower your intake of fat.
Choose a diet low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol to reduce your risk of heart attack and certain types of cancer and to help you maintain a healthy weight.
Choose a diet moderate in sugars. A diet with lots of sugars has too many calories and too few nutrients for most people and can contribute to tooth decay.
Choose a diet moderate in salt and sodium to help reduce your risk of high blood pressure.
If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation. Alcoholic beverages supply calories, but little or no nutrients. Drinking alcohol is also the cause of many health problems and accidents and can lead to addiction.
Food Guide Pyramid: The Food Guide Pyramid emphasizes foods from the five major food groups. Each of these food groups provides some, but not all, of the nutrients you need. Foods in one group can't replace those in another. No one food group is more important than another - for good health, you need them all.
The small tip of the Pyramid shows fats, oils, and sweets. These are foods such as salad dressings and oils, cream, butter, margarine, sugars, soft drinks, candies, and sweet desserts. These foods provide calories and little else nutritionally. Most people should use them sparingly.
On the second level of the Food Guide Pyramid are two groups of foods that come mostly from animals: milk, yogurt, cheese; and meat, poultry, fish, dry beans, eggs, and nuts. These foods are for protein, calcium, iron, and zinc. Milk and Protein: 2-3 servings a day.
The third level includes foods that come from plants - vegetables and fruits. Most people need to eat more of these foods for the vitamins, minerals, and fiber they supply. Fruit: 2-4 servings a day, Vegetables: 3-5 servings a day.
At the base of the Food Guide Pyramid are breads, cereals, rice, and pasta - all foods from grains. You need the servings of these foods each day. You should have 5-11 servings per day.
It is recommended that most people take vitamin supplements each day. VitaZone gives you a balanced blend of the most important vitamins. Synemax, Mistica and Core Greens are a great way to get vitamin, mineral and phytonutrient benefits found in whole foods.
Oily Skin: Revitalizing Toner applied morning and night can clear away extra skin oil and cleanse the skin of impurities. Use Advanced Face Cream sparingly. Drink plenty of water and avoid high-fat foods.
Osteoporosis: Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and more likely to break. Osteoporosis is a gradually developing disease that affects more than 8 million Americans each year. Genetics and lifestyle are the major variables when it comes to risk. Women are more prone to osteoporosis, as are those women with small bones. While these factors cannot be changed, lifestyle can influence risk.
Lifestyle factors which increase risk include: low calcium and vitamin D intake, physical inactivity, smoking and excess alcohol consumption. You can decrease your risks by including three or more servings of dairy products in your daily meal plan, begin an activity plan that includes walking, aerobics and weight lifting or other weight bearing activities. If you smoke -- stop; and, limit your alcohol consumption. Nutritional supplements such as VitaZone and Osteo Fusion can help offset osteoporosis.
Overall Skin Health: The skin reflects our general health. For clear, bright, vibrant skin we need to eat right, drink plenty of water, and get enough sleep. VitaZone and other nutritional supplements can help you feel better inside, which will make you look better outside. On the outside use the entire Synergy Skin Care Line or radiant skin.
Synergy skincare products are not intended for the treatment of skin related conditions. However, some people have reported that the DNA Repair Creme may be helpful when used by persons with eczema or rosacea; however, we do not have information on the efficacy of DNA Repair Creme in this situation. DNA Repair Creme contains Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid and EFAs have been reported to benefit persons with dermatitis (you can also buy liquid EFAs such as flax seed oil and primrose oil from other manufacturers and take them internally which has shown to be beneficial for many people with dermatitis). DNA Repair Creme also contains Hyaluronic acid which helps the skin retain moisture. Mistica contains essential fatty acids that have been reported to be beneficial for persons with dermatitis conditions; probably due to their soothing properties.
pH Balance: pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of your body. When something is "pH balanced" it is neither acid nor alkaline. Our bodies should be at a balanced pH level. There are certain supplements that will help us achieve a balanced pH. Noni Supreme,Detox Plus, Osteo Fusion will provide our bodies with the vitamins and minerals needed to reduce our acidity.
Sexual Function: Physical intimacy is a key ingredient for a lasting, vibrant relationship. Too often our stressful lifestyles take a toll on this important aspect of our lives. Of course, reducing stress in our life through exercise, prayer or meditation, and proper diet will help in sexual function. However, there are wonderful products to assist anyone desiring to improve their sexual desire and passion. For men, Men's Formula and ProArgi9 can improve sexual function and assist in reducing stress. For women, ProArgi9 can improve sexual sensation to give complete sexual satisfaction. General overall health will add to our intimate experiences, so using VitaZone daily and ProArgi9 will improve your well being and feeling of vibrancy.
Skin Discoloration: Whether you have freckles, age spots, liver spots or other uneven skin tone, this is caused by the pigmentation in your skin. Many underlying conditions are responsible for these skin changes. The most recognized cause is sun damage, either by itself or as an added insult on top of other factors. Numerous medications, especially hormones, have been implicated in skin discoloration disorders. Some medications like birth control pills or even pregnancy can be another cause. Finally, hormonal therapy by itself can have a direct impact on skin coloration. In these situations, the medication either stimulates more melanin to be produced, or suppresses the process that decreases melanin production. The result is increased discoloration regardless of the skin type or color. Freckles (and some skin spots) are genetically programmed into the skin and many times are not even visible to the eye until some process makes them darken. Treatment is simple, use the Synergy Skin Care Line of products, especially the Whitening Line and DNA Repair Creme.
Sleep: Here are some tips to help you get a better night's sleep: Caffeine is a stimulant and should be stopped four to six hours before bedtime. Caffeine is in coffee, soda, iced tea, chocolate, and various over-the-counter medications. Be careful if you are a big caffeine person and you cut yourself off too quickly, because you will get headaches, which of course will keep you awake.
Nicotine is also a stimulant and should be avoided near bedtime and if you wake up during the night.
Alcohol is a depressant; although it may make it easier to fall asleep, it causes you to wake up during the night.
A light snack may be sleep inducing, but a heavy meal too close to bedtime interferes with sleep. Stay away from protein and stick to carbohydrates. Research has shown that small snacks rich in carbohydrates may help improve sleep. In addition, milk or dairy products have been shown to be sleep inducing. Milk has L-tryptophan, which has been shown to help people go to sleep. So skim milk and a low-fat snack may be a good nighttime treat.
You may not want to exercise vigorously just before bed.
Minimize noise, light, and excessive cold or hot temperature during sleep by using ear plugs, window blinds, or an electric blanket or air conditioner appropriately. If your room is too hot (above 75 degrees) or too cold (below 54 degrees), it can affect your sleep.
Try not to drink anything after 8 p.m. Often people wake up to go to the bathroom (once or twice a night as you get older is normal).
Restrict the amount of time you spend in bed to the actual amount of time you sleep. You are not sleeping anyway, so do something worthwhile. Use the bedroom for sleep and intimacy only; do not watch TV, listen to the radio, eat, or read in bed.
Go to bed only when you are sleepy. Get out of bed if you can't fall asleep or go back to sleep within 10-15 minutes; return to bed only when you feel sleepy. Get up at the same time each morning. Do not nap during the day. The time it takes you to fall asleep is decreased by the longer you have been awake.
Supplements can assist you when you are having problems sleeping. Osteo Fusion taken before bed can assist sleep. However, avoid energy-producing supplements right before bed. These can prevent you from falling asleep quickly. Allow yourself one hour to unwind before bed. Brush your teeth one hour before getting into bed and wash your face slowly with warm water. Set the mood for relaxation before bed. This is not a time to be rushing about or planning the following days events. Do this earlier in the evening.
Split Ends: Half of the cure for split ends is prevention: Don't brush your hair too much, and be sure to use brushes and combs with smooth, wide-set teeth; avoid nylon bristles. And no matter what, don't brush wet hair! If you have knots, use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers to gently de-tangle from the ends up, one section at a time. Elastic bands -- even the covered ones -- and barrettes can cause breakage. If you put your hair in a ponytail, use a scrunchie; when wearing barrettes, take care not to catch hair in the metal clip. Of course, a trim will rid you of split ends instantly. In the meantime, Repairative Conditioner will help prevent split ends.
Stress Reduction: Stress in the modern world has become part of our lifestyle. It is becoming more important every day to combat stress and stress-related illness. Prolonged stress can overwork many organ systems, especially the heart, blood vessels, adrenals, and immune system. When stress is overwhelming, the response is general depression, low blood pressure and heart rate, increased cortisol (natural steroid hormone), and low sex steroid hormone secretions. Failure to cope with stress can lead to stress-related disorders such as headaches, hypertension, heart disease, stroke, and ulcers.
There are several techniques that can be relaxing, including yoga, meditation, progressive relaxation, self-hypnosis, and biofeedback. Equally beneficial for stress management is exercise, dancing, massage, and listening to soothing music. Yoga effectively reduces stress and anxiety, lowers blood pressure, relieves addictions, and improves metabolic and respiratory functioning. Meditation helps slow the breathing rate and increases oxygen consumption and blood flow to the brain, which produce a more relaxed brain wave rhythm.
Some stress is unavoidable in normal living, and while it can provide an opportunity for growth and development, excessive prolonged stress is harmful and increases the risk of medical disorder. Recognizing the early signs of stress and doing something positive through exercise, relaxation, correct eating habits, and other techniques can make an important difference in a person's quality of life and sense of well being.

Water: If you are of normal weight for your height, then on average you should drink (eight -- 8 oz. glasses of pure water every day. However, if you are overweight you should drink one additional glass for every 25 lbs. of excess weight you are trying to lose. The amount that you drink should be increased if you exercise, or if the weather is hot and dry.
Preferably, your drinking water should be taken cold. Cold water is absorbed more quickly into the system than warm water. Some evidence suggests that drinking cold water can actually burn calories. When the body gets all the water it needs to function optimally, all body system fluids willperfectly balance.
Sometimes the water that flows out of your tap at home tastes terrible, and may have impurities that you don't want to ingest.

Focus on decreasing caloric intake and increasing calories out (exercise).
Eat most foods early in the day for best utilization of calories.
Eat often. 5-7 small meals a day are better than 3 large meals a day. It keeps your energy level even, and maintains your body metabolism at a higher level. Drink eight to ten glasses of water daily, but not with meals. Drink two glasses of water 30 minutes before meals to reduce appetite.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables-as snacks, too.
Walk a lot and exercise regularly. Find ways to force yourself to move: park farther away, take the stairs rather than the elevator, or walk faster. Try to burn at least 300 calories during an aerobic exercise session. Weight lifting burns calories, and also builds lean muscle mass, which burns fat.
Avoid fats in the diet-they are more caloric. Use Breakdown to help reduce fat absorption.
Minimize consumption of salad dressings, cream soup, and meats. Use only low-fat or non-fat dairy products.
Lessen or avoid alcohol; minimize salt intake. Sodas, even diet sodas contain a great deal of sodium that can contribute to retaining water.
Use smaller plate and portions. Fill up first on lower calorie foods, such as soups or vegetable.
Avoid sugars. Sugar can be an addiction, and if you can go three weeks without eating sugar, you will crave it less.
Wait 10-15 minutes before taking seconds-hunger will decrease. Take at least 20-30 minutes to eat a meal, even snacks.
Eat at only one or two places in the home. Sometimes we snack mindlessly in front of the TV or at the computer. Only eat at the table to prevent overeating. Don't eat in the car.
Shop for food only after eating, not when hungry.
Create a schedule for eating. Plan meals and food choices ahead of time, snacks included.
Carry food with you to work or when going out so that you have the right choices.
Stay out of the kitchen, cupboard, and refrigerator unless preparing food. When preparing food, avoid over "tasting." Every bite adds calories.
Plan activities to occupy your free time when you might snack. If you feel an urge to binge, take a walk, go outside, or call a friend.
Ask family and friends to support you.
If you blow it, go right back to your plan, and do not make it an excuse to indulge.
Weigh yourself only once every week or two. If you are exercising, you weight may not change significantly at first, but your body shape will. Don't be discouraged as you build muscle weight.
Learn about food, fats, calories, and so on. The more you know, the better your choices will be.
Keep a good self-image and positive attitude toward life. Reduce stress. Stress can actually prevent you from losing weight.
Allow yourself to indulge (within reason) once weekly without guilt or self-judgement.
Realize that it is ultimately up to you. Perfect Shape Capsules are a wonderful supplement to assist you in overcoming hunger pangs, cravings, and low energy. You can do it! Visualize yourself thin and healthy.
