Some of you may know that my husband, Bill Hyman, and I are working with several skin care professionals in our group including medical estheticians, dermatologists and plastic surgeons. As a matter of fact, one of the plastic surgeons we brought into the company was just awarded Best Plastic Surgeon of 2003 in Central Florida. He is on the new Product Training CD stating that the Synergy skin care line is the best he has worked with. You cant ask for a better product endorsement than that!
People often say to me that they wish they knew more about the products. They really feel they need to know every single ingredient in order to be successful. What I know is, its not the ingredients that sell a product, but the benefits that people experience.
I have never heard anyone walk up to a cosmetic counter and say, I want to know every single ingredient in your product, what they do, and what technology you are incorporating into your products. No, what they say is I have really dry, irritated skin or I have some redness in my skin or I have these age spots. What do you recommend?
Cleansers
First, we have our cleansers everyone needs to start with clean skin. We have two cleansers in our line, the Delicate Face Cleanser and the White Foaming Cleanser.
Delicate Face Cleanser
Great for normal to acne prone skin.
pH balanced, rich in soothing botanicals and anti-oxidants.
A gentle gel formula.
White Foaming Cleanser
Benefits skin that is experiencing hyper-pigmentation such as freckles and age spots.
Great for sensitive, dry or reactive skin.
A gentle foam formula. You will find that some people prefer a foam formula.
For optimal results, use in conjunction with the other brightening products: White Milk Lotion and White Essence.
Toner
Second is our toner. It is really important that you dont skip this step.
Revitalizing Toner
Removes any excess cleanser or makeup that you might have missed.
Restores the proper pH balance, thus preparing the skin to better absorb moisturizers and serums.
Moisturizers
We currently have three moisturizers in our product line. We have the Advanced Face Cream, Angel Cream and White Milk Lotion. It is important to use a moisturizer as part of your daily routine. Even if you do not have fines lines and wrinkles, it is suggested. It is always best to prevent or delay the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, rather than wait for them to appear. Very often people with acne prone skin think they should not use a moisturizer. This simply is not true. You can have acne prone skin that is dehydrated and in need of a moisturizer. The key is to find a quality moisturizer that uses ingredients that hydrate and moisturize the skin not a poorly formulated product that leaves the skin more prone to break outs.
Advanced Face Cream
Contains Gen III Technology that stimulates the production of collagen and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
Contains vitamins and botanicals that help fight free radicals.
Utilizes Crystal Liquid Technology, which, simply put, means it has a more effective moisturizing quality in comparison to other conventional blended moisturizers. Liquid Crystal Technology does not use conventional emulsifiers. Conventional emulsifiers contain surfactants that can strip the skin of its natural lipids. The skins lipid barrier is designed to protect the skin, to hold water in the skin and keep allergens out.
Leaves the skin moisturized without a heavy, greasy feeling.
Angel Cream
Healing, calming and soothing.
It can benefit a wide range of undesirable skin conditions, such as premature aging, blotches, sunburn, dryness, acne, Eczema, and sometimes even Psoriasis.
It is great for dry elbows and heels.
Angel Cream utilizes the Barrier Repair Technology. Barrier Repair Technology helps the skin repair damage caused by harsh elements and the natural aging process much faster than it could on its own. It does so by using a combination of specific ingredients.
White Milk Lotion
Benefits skin that is experiencing hyper-pigmentation such as freckles and age spots.
Leaves the skin feeling smooth and hydrated.
Utilizes Liquid Crystal Technology and Barrier Repair Technology.
For optimal results, use in conjunction with the other brightening products: White Foaming Cleanser and White Essence.
Specialty Creams & Serums
Anti- Aging Serum
Utilizes Gen III technology that stimulates the production of collagen. Use to prevent or reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
No irritation or photosensitivity commonly associated with AHAs, retinol and Retina-A. Over 50% of the population cannot use these products because of the irritation associated with their use.
Gen III technology actually strengthens the skin to resist irritation.
DNA Repair Creme
Contains Gen IV technology that has been shown to aid the body in repairing sun damage and frustrating the aging process.
Utilizes Liquid Crystal Technology and Barrier Repair Technology.
Immediately apply the DNA Repair Creme to sunburn to help soothe and reduce the severity of the burn.
White Essence
Helps to reduce skin discoloration. These areas are commonly called age spots and freckles.
It also contains a host of other beneficial ingredients that aid in cell turn over, so it could be used for anti-aging benefits as well.
It contains several antioxidants.
Contains ingredients that help calm the skin.
In some cases we have seen the reduction of redness associated with Rosacea.

What are the percentages of Argireline and Matrixyl in TriAction Age
Defense Complex?
TriAction contains 13 % Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3. Further details are proprietary and cannot be disclosed.
Which skin care products would you recommend for stretch marks?
Anti-Aging Serum and TriAction Age Defense Complex are products that may be beneficial in reducing stretch marks. These products are formulated with Gen III technology which promotes collagen production on a cellular level. Although our products are not specifically tested for stretch marks, the ingredient technology in TriAction as well as the Anti-Aging Serum may be beneficial for this type of skin concern.
Anti-Aging Serum contains a liposomal delivery system, which brings a complex of ingredients to the dermal layer of the skin. These ingredients support the body's collagen and elastin production helping to smooth and even out the surface of the skin as well as improve firmness. The ingredients in Anti-Aging Serum also help to increase cell renewal, or the rate new skin cells come to the surface of the skin improving the overall appearance of the skin surface.
TriAction Age Defense Complex also helps to smooth and even out the surface of the skin as it improves firmness. However, it does this with ingredients different than those found in the Anti- Aging Serum. TriAction contains Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 which support collagen synthesis within the dermal layer, and Saccharomyces Xylinum or Black Tea Ferment which plumps up skin cells within the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to restore skin volume and thickness.
Is Anti-Aging Serum safe to use?
Synergy, under its parent company Nature's Sunshine Products, is a member of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA). We rely on internal product and ingredient testing, as well as the unbiased, third-party research presented by the CTFA to help determine whether or not an ingredient in a topical product is safe. Since the FDA does not have the authority to approve cosmetic products or ingredients, the CTFA reviews the safety and proper use of common ingredients in the industry.
Synergy uses those ingredients that are determined safe as used, or safe with certain qualifications. Qualifications are most commonly recommended to prevent mild to moderate irritation or sensitization based on certain concentrations. Synergy does not use any ingredients that are considered carcinogenic or otherwise harmful.
Always use discretion when reviewing any literature suggesting toxicity of cosmetic ingredients. Many manufacturers in the past have provided false or unsubstantiated information relating to the safety of cosmetic ingredients that are not found in their own products. Be assured that Synergy relies on internal testing, clinical studies conducted by independent laboratories, and the scientifically proven, unbiased data presented by the CTFA in determining safety of ingredients used in personal care products.

"As a child I had been exposed to the damaging UV rays too many times and years later, the results were starting to show on different parts of my face. I had previously had several treatments on my face for skin cancer.
