Most of the skin care products on the market come in a tube of some kind, but Synergy's skin care products come in pumps. Can you explain why?
We package our skin care products in opaque airless pumps to minimize exposure of the contents to oxygen and light and to prevent possible contamination.
I just started using the Anti-Aging Serum, DNA Repair Creme, and Advanced Face Cream products. I noticed that the DNA Repair Creme and Advanced Face Cream are packaged in 1 ounce containers, but the Anti-Aging Serum is packaged in a 1/2 ounce container. Will the Anti-Aging product last as long as the others?
Yes, each product will last approximately a month based on average usage. The Anti-Aging Serum is thinner, so you need to use less of it each day. Just follow the directions on the package.
DNA Repair Creme uses Gen IV technology, so is it safe for children? If it is, how often can they use it?
The Gen IV technology contains high-quality ingredients, none of which can harm children. Just make sure to follow the recommended use of the product label. However, we don't recommend this product for children under the age of 2 years.
What are the percentages of Argireline and Matrixyl in TriAction Age
Defense Complex?
TriAction contains 13 % Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3. Further details are proprietary and cannot be disclosed.
Which skin care products would you recommend for stretch marks?
Anti-Aging Serum and TriAction Age Defense Complex are products that may be beneficial in reducing stretch marks. These products are formulated with Gen III technology which promotes collagen production on a cellular level. Although our products are not specifically tested for stretch marks, the ingredient technology in TriAction as well as the Anti-Aging Serum may be beneficial for this type of skin concern.
Anti-Aging Serum contains a liposomal delivery system which brings a complex of ingredients to the dermal layer of the skin. These
ingredients support the body's collagen and elastin production helping to smooth and even out the surface of the skin as well as improve firmness. The ingredients in Anti-Aging Serum also help to increase cell renewal, or the rate new skin cells come to the surface of the skin improving the overall appearance of the skin surface.
TriAction also helps to smooth and even out the surface of the skin as it improves firmness. However, it does this with ingredients different than those found in the Anti Aging Serum. TriAction contains Palmitoyl Oligopeptide and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 which support collagen synthesis within the dermal layer, and Saccharomyces Xylinum or Black Tea Ferment which plumps up skin cells within the subcutaneous fat layer of the skin to restore skin volume and thickness.
Is Anti-Aging Serum safe to use?
Synergy, under its parent company Nature's Sunshine Products, is a member of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CTFA). We rely on internal product and ingredient testing, as well as the unbiased, third-party research presented by the CTFA to help determine whether or not an ingredient in a topical product is safe. Since the FDA does not have the authority to approve cosmetic products or ingredients, the CTFA reviews the safety and proper use of common ingredients in the industry.
Synergy uses those ingredients that are determined safe as used or safe with certain qualifications. Qualifications are most commonly recommended to prevent mild to moderate irritation or sensitization based on certain concentrations. Synergy does not use any ingredients that are considered carcinogenic or otherwise harmful.
Always use discretion when reviewing any literature suggesting toxicity of cosmetic ingredients. Many manufacturers in the past have provided false or unsubstantiated information relating to the safety of cosmetic ingredients that are not found in their own products. Be assured that Synergy relies on internal testing, clinical studies conducted by independent laboratories, and the scientifically proven, unbiased data presented by the CTFA in determining safety of ingredients used in personal care products.
Which skin treatment would you recommend for rosacea?
Although none of our skin care products has been specifically tested for rosacea, I would recommend the DNA Repair Cream. Each of these products has ingredients that could be helpful for rosacea. Some people have reported that the DNA Repair Crème may be helpful when used by persons with eczema or rosacea; however, we do not have information on the efficacy of DNA Repair Crème in this situation. DNA Repair Crème contains Linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid and EFAs have been reported to benefit persons with dermatitis (you can also buy liquid EFAs such as flax seed oil and primrose oil from other manufacturers and take them internally which has shown to be beneficial for many people with dermatitis). DNA Repair Crème also contains Hyaluronic acid which helps the skin retain moisture.
The nutritional products that may be beneficial for maintaining optimal skin health are in the Daily Nutrition Pack. The Daily Nutrition Pack consists of VitaZone, Body Guard, and Germanium Plus. Body Guard contains oils which are beneficial for the skin. VitaZone contains antioxidants and vitamins that are beneficial for the skin and the immune system. Germanium Plus has an overall normalizing effect upon the body.
Mistica contains essential fatty acids that have been reported to be beneficial for persons with dermatitis conditions; probably due to their soothing properties.
